Investment Tips! Insight – indicators of success 2017

The art market is undergoing a revolution and collecting art – which used to be the domain of the privileged few has become democratised by the Internet, with numerous online art galleries now offering affordable art for sale. However, buying affordable art can mean a compromise on quality or investment potential and at New Blood Art we strive to make sure all of our art, whilst affordable is intrinsically valuable, possesing the qualities you would look for when investing in art (see what to look for published in MoneyWeek) – so whilst you are buying affordable art at NewBloodArt, it is only affordable because you are buying at an early entry point, at the start of a talented artists career with realistic potential to see increases.

We have a solid track record for identifying artists who go on to do very well – so what is bought as affordable art often becomes materially more valuable over time, with examples of artists increasing as much as 1000% in value since first showing with the gallery – see investable art section

Committed and passionate artist’s are likely to be making work in ten years time, so when artists are applying for prizes, arts funding, residencies and competitions it’s a good indication of commitment and therefore investment potential. Even better when these efforts get recognised on a wider scale by art world professionals and public bodies – read via the blog: Artists making waves – notable achievements 2017 – whilst it’s early in the year many of our artists have made impressive achievements so far this year, all good indicators of future price increases, so it’s well worth studying this post for valuable information about investment potential.
