Inaugural Scottish Landscape Award.

The first Awards exhibition will be held at the City Art Centre in Edinburgh. The prize will occupy two floors of the City Art Centre and run from 4th November 2023 to 3rd March. The Awards will be held every 2 to 3 years, on each occasion moving to a different region and gallery within Scotland. In 2026/27, the award exhibition will be at the Kirkcudbright Galleries in Dumfries and Galloway.

This is a biennial event, meaning it occurs every 2 years open to anyone over 16 years born, living or studying in Scotland, and for works in any media – painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, all forms of sculpture, animation, textiles, photography, installation, video, multi-media, virtual reality landscapes – and more.

You can visit the 2023 Scottish Landscape Awards Exhibition from 4th November 2023 to 3 March 2024, the exhibition is at the City Art Centre, Edinburgh. (Artists and works selected for the exhibition released on 8 July 2023).

Artist Information

If you would like to enter the prize in two years time – the 2025 Scottish Landscape Award is open for entry from 1 January to 30 April 2025. The 2025 exhibition will be held at the Kirkcudbright Galleries in Dumfries and Galloway, and will also encompass public art installations around Scotland.
