Investable Artist / Julie-Ann Simpson

Investable Artist / Julie-Ann Simpson

Since graduating in 2014, Julie-Ann has been committed to maintaining an active presence in the studio and exploring the scope of her practice. After a sold-out degree show, Julie-Ann was presented with the Guthrie Award and Medal at The Royal Scottish Academy. Since then, she has developed a wide client base, selling privately but also to corporate collections such as Aberdeen Asset Management and Opportunity North East.

Over the last year, a project supported by the Visual Arts and Craft Makers Award has allowed print to add a new dimension to her work. Her latest project sees Julie-Ann about to embark on a two-month residency in Yamanashi, Japan in Autumn 2018 with plans for a solo show of the resultant work in 2019. We have moved Julie-Ann into the Masters section of the website this week – it’s a good time to invest.
