'Ogmore Sea-Lawns at Night', painting in oil on canvas.
"Following the estuary back inland from Ogmore-by-Sea, the straw-coloured brambles and reeds bleached and dried out from the sun matched beautifully against the charcoal night sky. I had the paintings of Anselm Kiefer in mind and wanted to play with texture and colour in this painting using detritus from the location."

Peter Kettle has recently been voted in as a Fellow for the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA).
Peter Kettle’s work has the surfaces of well-worn exterior walls, buffeted and corroded with the appearance of having withstood the effects of time and weather – a technique that gives his work an enlivening combination of stoicism and nostalgia.
