“I work with bright luminescent colour, painting forms that cross between recognisable and reminiscent.  With empty void backgrounds I reference deep sea and space photography, while free form improvised structures create the basis of many paintings contrasting with portraits inspired by nineteenth-century daguerreotypes and autochromes.”
