A Frequency, A Thread

Some works carry presence – move in stillness, hold their own rhythm.

Nicola Wiltshire’s Far and Beyond rests in this clarity. Her earlier paintings were layered over patterned fabric – Toile de Jouy, William Morris… in this work, the pattern has become the work, and it’s all hers. What was once background is now form. Her subjects remain: domestic, grounded, close. A window, a vase, a hillside. The colour is placed with care. The line speaks softly. There’s ease in the shift, a kind of arrival.

Lindsay Mapes’ current series moves with that same coherence. Stitched, painted, each work carries structure, gesture, and architectural rhythm. I would love to place this new series by Lindsay in a space that bridges two distinct environments – energetically, spatially, architecturally. The rhythm is continuous, but each piece holds its own identity. Together, they create alignment.

If you’re considering a space – domestic, corporate, or maybe something in between and you’d like to explore what might belong there, feel free to get in touch. I’m always happy to help.
