Original painting in oil on wood.
Comprises of 3 separate panels, so can be hung with spacing between each if preferred.
Suffusions of vibrant pigments, alongside interesting formal experimentations stemming from her depiction of light.
Churchill paints reminiscent but abstracted forms: at one point a series of monkey portraits emerging from this abstraction. This body of work shows an idiosyncratic and engaging tact with colour. Her work explores hybridity, Darwinism and morphologies of forms, sampling and reconstructing different terrains and organic matter. Most of all the work emits a dynamic curiosity and sense of wonder. Churchill’s work has been published on the cover of Volume magazine and she was invited to exhibit in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2008.
