The reiteration – and revelation – that structures the process of Lindsay Mapes’ work unfurls in a vibration of bold colours. Lindsay is one of our Art Masters, and in her oeuvre, as in the most exciting abstract work, the notion of visual truth is invigorated. Her use of stitching in ‘Restorative’ in a scattered mosaic-like formation, and in ‘Golden’, adds further elements of detail to these works that are a feast for the eyes.
Lindsay was selected for a documentary called ‘Looking for Picasso’. 12 artist from around the world were chosen. An American production, (she is episode 2).
