New Artist: Melanie King

“I am a multi-disciplinary artist, currently studying an MPhil in Printmaking at the Royal College of Art. I recently graduated from the Masters in Art and Science at Central Saint Martins. My current research is focused on the philosophy of science, particularly in the field of astronomy. In my practice, I explore the complex relationship between materials, light and our own stellar origins through the use of photosensitive materials. The use of celestial light in my practice highlights the mutability between artist, material and matter”
