Jablecki’s artistic practice is deeply rooted in his Polish heritage and the cultural practice of gardening. His large-scale oil paintings explore themes of growth, labor, queerness, and societal belonging. These abstract garden landscapes serve as powerful metaphors, examining the complexities of equality, dependency, and the interconnectedness of land and identity. His meticulous approach to color, contrast, composition, and mark-making emphasises the presence and resilience of queer bodies, drawing profound botanical parallels (The Edi Magazine).

Jablecki's recent works delve into contemporary social issues and personal identity through a unique lens. By integrating elements of his Polish heritage and queer identity, his paintings create a dialogue around the themes of equality, acceptance, and the human connection to nature. The abstracted garden landscapes are not only visually captivating but also rich in symbolic meaning, representing the growth and struggles of queer bodies within societal structures. His use of color and contrast in these compositions highlights the visibility and resilience of marginalised identities, making a poignant statement on the importance of inclusivity and representation (The Edi Magazine)

In his creative process, Jablecki employs a multidisciplinary approach that spans painting, drawing, sculpture, and installation. His works often integrate elements of storytelling and theatricality, drawing from his experiences and traditions. By intertwining narratives from the vegetable garden and agricultural engagement, Jablecki highlights themes of queer refuge and care for plants, creating poignant parallels between societal attitudes toward weeds and queerness.

As an artist receiving significant attention and acclaim, Jablecki’s pieces are poised to captivate audiences and collectors alike. His recent works, available through New Blood Art, reflect a sophisticated and nuanced exploration of contemporary social issues and personal identity. With a promising trajectory ahead, Remi Jablecki is an artist whose contributions to art merit close attention and appreciation.
