Marc-Aaron Hyman’s work takes us on an immersive journey through a world where the boundaries between memory, reality, and imagination dissolve. His paintings are not just visual expressions but visceral experiences, driven by the charged energy of life and the world in which we live.
Mostly painted in oil on canvas, Hyman pushes the boundaries of representation in his work. Subjects often have a familiar feel, but are edged towards abstraction. Landscapes become swirling shapes that are closer to memories or dreams.
Each work leaves behind a trail of clues, fragments of identities, emotions, and memories, encouraging an ongoing conversation that morphs and changes with each encounter.
"Nothing human is alien to me..." Neon lights, brooding nights, screens, and smoke set the stage for Marc-Aaron's paintings, which invite viewers into a realm where raw experience intertwines with memory and representation. These works offer an open invitation to discover a personal entry point, leaving behind a trail of clues that hint at past or future events—events that exist in a liminal space between reality and imagination.
