Chantelle Wroblewska-Fairless (B.2000, Warsaw) lives and works in London. Having graduated from Illustration&Animation (BA Hons) at Kingston School of Art in 2023. She was the recipient of the Newman Young Artist Award and received a scholarship to the Essential School of Painting in 2022. She has exhibited as part of multiple group exhibitions including the Artist collective Shapes and Things. Her first solo show, In the Round, took place in 2024 with Rotate Gallery and her work is also currently shown with Columbia Road Gallery.
Working in a fast, responsive method both to subject and physical material, Chantelle's process is driven by a desire to combine the observed with the imagined/found and explore colour in detail. Through a process of drawing continuously from her surroundings and a personal range of reference material such as the spaces of theatre and stage, small artworks are created and imbued with a sense of intimacy and privacy. They act as small insights and snippets from the artists ongoing research, experiences and observations.
