Time -Travelling Through the 70s

Slipped through a small gap in time today, somewhere near the seventies, maybe a touch later, following a designer’s brief for a project rooted in midcentury design.

I watched a few vintage episodes of Charlie’s Angels. That was a trip – those glamorous women in perfect jeans, running for their lives, sliding under cars, dodging ricocheting bullets, calling Charlie from a payphone with their hair still perfectly in place. Gosh, the tension of watching someone handle an emergency without a mobile – the change, the dial, the hope the line connects.

Then Kojak, a serious man with a lollipop, which carries its own kind of design logic.

A small signal has formed. Just enough to shape an adjacent collection of work with a faint 1970s charge running through it…

A touch of the 70s. Follow the image to the collection.
