Original painting in oil on canvas.
"Inspiration for 'Glimpse of islands' series lies in Japanese stone/rock gardens. Placing stones and rocks is a complex act for reminiscence of a landscape, memories and contemplation. In 'Glimpse of islands' series I consider brushwork as parallel to stone/rock placement and canvas as an actual place for setting a subtle, yet well considered composition."

The shapes and colours here are as strange as they are delightfully hypnotic. These abstract landscapes seem to transport the viewer to somewhere private and perfectly peaceful. A fierce new artist, who describes himself as: "deeply interested in brushwork" and intrigued by the concept of "painting as a principle and a method of thinking in an effort for the metamorphosis of a trace into a vision."
