Bianca Mierlea’s paintings move between body, plant, and spirit, at once contemplative and assertive, rooted and otherworldly. Stylised almost to the point of hallucination, her works invite us into a reality where boundaries dissolve: human merges with hybrid, solid with fluid, dream with waking life.

Mierlea’s practice is grounded in esoteric exploration - vibrational frequencies, out-of-body states, parallel worlds, yet her images are never purely illustrative. They carry the charged, transformative energy of a vision glimpsed through meditation, a memory held at the edge of consciousness. Petals become bodies, bodies become thresholds.

In these works, the journey of the self and the higher self, unfolds across rich surfaces of movement, colour, and metamorphosis. The question that hums beneath it all: what if reality is the dream?
