Original mixed media painting in gouache, pastel, graphite, ink and structura ground (to provide texture), on Bockingford Watercolour paper (425gm/sq m), white matt surface and acid free.

"I paint places where I have a personal connection. I often use the place to explore thoughts and ideas that interest me, as well as the process of painting itself. The Humber Estuary and its horizons lit by a disappearing sun provides a backdrop for other imaginings. 'The way we look at the landscape determines how we understand and internalise it."
