Mid-December feels like a good moment to open something we rarely do - a Studio Archive Sale. We don’t run sales in the usual sense. Art here isn’t treated as a commodity. These archive works come directly from artists’ studios and tend to appear for practical reasons: a studio move, a shift in work, the need to invest in materials, the realities of the costs of a year drawing to a close.
Some wonderful pieces are offered with price reductions from their usual list prices - in some cases by up to £1,000 - without any change in their true value. If you buy now, artworks should still reach you before Christmas, if that matters to you. It’s a strong archive collection this year, and the first we’ve opened in over a year.
