New Blood Art Commentary

Sally Green works at scale, using expansive, continuous line to create paintings that feel open, energetic, and alive. Her process is intuitive and grounded in nature as divine and animate, holding beauty, chaos, stillness, and motion together. Colour and gesture move freely across the surface, guided by the rhythm of the seasons. The works carry a clear sense of reverence, honouring the wild, the sacred, and the ever-changing as lived experience.

Her line behaves like growth itself - confident, generative, self-propelling. Form emerges through intuitive movement, as if the work is being grown: life force made visible.

Artist Statement

I see nature as divine, alive with beauty, chaos, stillness, and motion. The rhythm of the seasons grounds my practice, guiding layered explorations in ink, acrylic, oil, and spray paint. I work intuitively, drawing from organic patterns and forms to create gestures that move between freedom and control. My paintings are rooted in nature’s resilience, in colour that survives the storm, in lines that echo growth and decay. Each piece is both a visual response to the natural world and a reflection of the emotional landscapes I navigate within. Through process and presence, I seek to honour the wild, the sacred, and the ever-changing.
