When we first show an artist in Spotlight, it\u2019s rarely the last time. They\u2019re often featured repeatedly, as their reputation grows and prices rise. We\u2019re in a position to hear what\u2019s moving before it surfaces: when a collector of note begins circling, an artist tells us they\u2019ve been long-listed for a significant prize, several pieces by a single artist sell quietly into a notable private collection, serious curators start paying attention \u2013 these are the early tremors that we feel at the core and Spotlight is where we place them, before their careers build into something more visible. This is where you gain the benefit of our inside line.<\/p>\n

Take Sammi Mak<\/a>, for example. We first included her here in 2022: Sammi Mak\u2019s Ecology of the Sense and then again in March 2023 Invest in Emerging Artist Sammi Mak \u2013 and now, just a few years after graduating, she\u2019s been acquired by Louis Vuitton.<\/p>\n

Spend some time in the Spotlight Archive and you\u2019ll find many such examples of artists first featured many years ago ahead of the mainstream market validation. For collectors who\u2019ve been with us a while \u2013 you already know. For everyone else: this is the section to pay attention to.<\/p>\n
