Finding time, space and energy amidst rising rents and increasing living costs is not always a given. It is for this reason that fellowships such as the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/freelandsfoundation.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Freelands Foundation Studio Fellowships<\/a>&nbsp;are so important. The fellowship grants artists a bursary of \u00a324,000, studio space, mentorship, university-level teaching experience, the opportunity to give a public artist talk, and both solo and group exhibition opportunities.&nbsp;The fellowship is a significant opportunity and endorsement for those early in their career. Upon completion of their fellowship, each artist will exhibit the work they have developed in a solo exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based at Gray\u2019s School of Art in Aberdeen on a Freelands Studio Fellowship. Alongside teaching, Tia is using her studio time to focus on producing and publishing a new body of work, her artist tarot deck, \u2018chromatic visions\u2019. The deck will consist of 78 abstract, geometric colour pencil drawings based on the Rider Waite Tarot deck.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Tia Taylor Berry\u2019s practice, spiritual space is distilled into geometric forms, from triangles and circles to diamonds, mapping the energy and geometry of the spiritual spaces that she experiences.
