The Summer Exhibition<\/a> is back! Running every year since 1769, this time around the curation is ‘Climate’. From June 21st to August 21st you’ll be able to find work across the Academy’s indoor and outdoor spaces. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This includes fantastic work by three NewBlood artists: Helen Latham<\/a>, Lindsay Mapes<\/a> and David O’Malley<\/a>; each working in a very crisp, defined contemporary style. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enjoy having a look, and congratulations to these three artists for this recognition by one of the most esteemed art institutions of the country: a fresh marker of the potential investment value of their work.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reiteration \u2013 and revelation \u2013 that structures the process of Lindsay Mapes\u2019 work unfurls in a vibration of bold colours. Lindsay is one of our Art Masters, and in her oeuvre, as in the most exciting abstract work, the notion of visual truth is invigorated.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a sense of dignified Zen-like detachment to much of David OM’s work, many of his compositions function through minimalism and juxtaposition … At the core of his work oscillates a pure sense of wonder … His art often interacts with space science and astronomy whilst incorporating a metaphysical subtext. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
