Congratulations to Katherine Jones, who has just been selected as a Royal Academician, joining the ranks of some of the greatest names in contemporary art and architecture. The artist\u2019s work is collected around the world, from the Victoria & Albert Museum and the House of Lords in London, to Yale University in the US. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Katherine Jones previously showed with us at New Blood Art and you can see our 2013 investment tip on Katherine here<\/a>, where 9 years ago we were spotlighting her as an artist on her way to recognition, whose value would increase as a result.

On announcing her selection the Academy notes that her \u201cartistic practice is underpinned by drawing and painting, and concluded in multi-layered painterly prints which bring together disparate narratives in hyper-real or folkloric spaces.<\/em>\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is part of a flurry of happenings around Katherine Jones\u2019 art this Spring\/Summer season, marking the next stage in this talented printmakers career and increased investment potential. The show \u2018Escape Routes\u2019 will be at Oliver Projects May 13-15th (then by appointment only until June 6th), and Katherine will be showing with Rabley Gallery at the London Original Print Fair at Somerset House in May. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Katherine also recently contributed the printmaking section to The Artist\u2019s Manual. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n
