Mickevica\u2019s figurative work is largely gestural, with a visceral and vulnerable quality to the rolled flesh of her subjects. Her work embodies a sense of harmony and freedom, communicated through sympathetic use of colour and loose brush strokes, which seem to effortlessly portray the curvature of a body or the roaring of waves in a landscape.
