Original Painting in Mixed Media on Canvas.

Original mixed media painting in acrylic, spraypaint and markers on a deep-edge canvas.

"A painting employing multiple techniques ( brush, spatula, spraycan and marker pens ) and literally at the border between figuration and abstraction; à priori a coastal/seascape composition, the cliffs of Dover are a white 'page' on which a multitude of graffs or tags are visible on closer inspection; words and slogans, lovehearts, Churchill, a WotNo, logos... Currently based in France, Wayne Sleeth is a painter of personal discovery, composing a work to his own evolving rhythm. Perceiving the act of painting a complex composition of hidden memory. Sleeth chooses to form open-ended ‘scapes’, whereby memories are shaped as inviting sensations. Landscapes and skylines become abstract forms, while emotive representations gain tangible presence.
