Original mixed media painting in oil, gesso, linseed oil putty and acrylic.
"This deconstructive approach to painting takes in the abstract forms and lines of the landscape from the open air sketches and examplifies them.
Reducing the colour palatte to earthy, warm tones, i've started to take inspiration from worn, buffeted everyday surfaces such as the dry stone walls and rusty metal fences that line the Welsh Landscape, and incorporate these ideas into the palatte."

Peter Kettle has recently been voted in as a Fellow for the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA).
Peter Kettle’s work has the surfaces of well-worn exterior walls, buffeted and corroded with the appearance of having withstood the effects of time and weather – a technique that gives his work an enlivening combination of stoicism and nostalgia.
