Veronika Niewiadomska is a Cornish based painter and sculptor whose work focuses on her dual nationality. Her interest is in the unification of her heritage in her work, representative of the symbiosis of two cultural backgrounds. The creation of the work is inspired by her immediate landscape in Cornwall. This, in companionship with the making processes, patterns and materials from her Polish cultural heritage, through the medium of Folk Art, acts as a mechanism to acknowledge these parts of herself. Her work is largely focused around the domestic, natural balance and cultural identity. She works in a fluid and responsive way making each piece in reaction to the materials.
