I am working in a multi-disciplinary way, mainly with painting and soundscapes together with light-installations. I developed an interest in astronomy from an early age, inspired by the vast night-sky and magical northern lights, surrounded by the tranquil forests in Sweden . My work is based on a cosmological perspective and the connection between microcosm and macrocosm. I often create images of astronomical- natural and atmospheric optical phenomena together with plants, trees or other elements from nature, which are visualisations and impressions of the interconnection between the inner and the outer worlds. I often incorporate nature as it is my source for tranquility and I aim to convey natures subliminal beauty in the light of cosmology. I seek the connection between the visible and invisible, the refraction between light and darkness and the correlation between colour, form, sound and space.. Is there a creational force in the universe that binds everything together? What is beyond the visible? What connects the visible with the invisible? These are some of the questions that I am asking through my work. I am looking for similarities between ancient philosophies and modern science, trying to grasp a glimpse of our oneness with the cosmos. I often make round paintings to represents the interconnectedness in the universe. Rhythms of life are the same in the human body as in the solar system and galaxies, - the microcosm is mirroring the macrocosm. The circular form represents the interconnectedness, unity, wholeness and infinity. Atoms, cells, seeds, planets and globular star systems all echo the spherical paradigm of total inclusion.
