"Hi Sarah, just a quick thank you note for informing me of this artist. I received my two pieces this morning and they are exquisite – like you say little masterpieces! I have bought art before from New Blood – the service is outstanding and I am looking forward to many more purchases in future."
"Hi Natalie and Sarah, just to let you know I received the painting safely. Holy Moly is this a powerful painting! It is everything and more than I was expecting. I swear her expression changes with the way the observer, observes! Please don't think me mad and call the men in white coats when I tell you that I smiled at her and she smiled back! I have a feeling that this is one of those rare paintings that reflects the mood of the viewer."
"Sarah - painting delivered and on the wall. It looks amazing. I am delighted with it."
"Many thanks for your thoughtful and honest approach to your customers.
I will continue to support your innovative and creative business model as and when my modest income allows. Affordable, original art is crucial to the health of the creative arts in the UK or indeed anywhere. As we say in Brum 'Well done ar kid'"
“Thanks Sarah, it arrived on Saturday. It is a beautiful sketch – thank you”
"Hello Sarah, I just wanted to let you know how much I love your website. I have scoured the Internet for information on emerging artists, and you need to know that of all the other websites out there, I believe yours has the best combination of useful search tools, prices on the art, and just simple usability. It also has a nice almost folksy feel to it; big enough to have fantastic search tools and great art, but small enough to allow us to get around the site and not get lost in clutter. I look forward to buying many pieces of art from you in the future, and I can't wait to see what is going up on the site next… Keep up the great work."
"Many thanks for my beautiful painting which arrived yesterday. It is even better than I imagined it to be. I will keep an eye on you site for further beautiful things."
About New Blood Art
New Blood Art was founded in 2004 by Fine Art graduate and art tutor, Sarah Ryan. She had a vision to provide emerging artists with an income from their work and the general public access to truly affordable art. Whilst at art college, after spending hours in the life drawing studio, she would go to work, in a bar or retail space to subsidise her studies and began to wonder if it might be possible for young artists to create a revenue stream from their artwork...
in 1998 Ryan was invited to teach art in Botswana. When she returned to London two years later, the world had changed. Everyone was online. The Internet provided the missing piece, making it possible to promote young artists and their art at affordable prices, something that the costs of running a physical gallery space made an impossibility. Ryan says that if she had not been immersed in an entirely different world for so long, she would not have been struck by the potential opportunity in quite the same way, or with such force. And so New Blood Art began… as a labour of love, visiting colleges, speaking to tutors, identifying talented artists who might not otherwise have had an opportunity to launch their careers.
“My favourite part of the work is visiting the colleges and studios and meeting the artists. I look for the very best artists emerging from degree courses, using the best materials and techniques and I get to know them personally. We have gained a good reputation for spotting artists who go onto to do very well. It’s wonderful seeing young artists careers develop - and in some cases sky-rocket - some of my personal ‘success stories’ are Iain Andrews, Bartosz Beda, Nathan James, Peter Monkman, Dan McDermott and Rebecca Fontaine-Wolfe who all started showcasing their work on the website and whose prices have seen significant increases”
Artwork can be ordered online and delivered directly to your door (or desk) anywhere in the world.
