A friend gave me Sarah Thornton’s book Seven Days in the Art World and I cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone interested in art and how the international art world functions. It covers her research and experiences with curators and collectors, the Venice Bienalle, art auctions, studio visits and much more. Well worth as read!

Jacobs creates tangible, but compellingly fleeting and mysterious photographs that allow ambiguous states to dwell and be dwelt upon, through the capturing of physical miniature installations, inquisitively rendered. Catherine Jacobs is a London based artist whose work has been shown both nationally and in the USA and is held in many private collections. Her practice reflects the insights gained through her established career in psychological research, giving her a unique perspective into the themes she explores. Her particular areas of interest are attachment theory and the ways people relate to each other and their surroundings.
