A fantastic show at Slade. Highlights included the irrepressible energy of Jeremy Hutchinson and Sangeun Joo. Joo created a space of devotion with rare memorabilia. Hutchinson got in touch with a number of factories around the world, and asked to order a product, with the special requirement that the product have an error that made it impossible to use for its ordinary purpose. The artist also stipulated that individual factory worker should decide what the error would be. The masses of documentation and incredulous but touchingly curious correspondence that went into the logistics of the project proved as compelling as the objects themselves.
