This index of desire is the index to Roland Barthes’ fantastic book of fragments A Lover’s Discourse, quotations from which we will be Tweeting and updating on Facebook, half in protest against the abuses of the digital form which picks the hideously abbreviated above the thoughtfully fragmented, and half in celebration of our very own INDEX OF DESIRES. We are introducing a subject page on the site, where you can search for original art works according to your own ephemeral but significant desires. In the spirit of Barthes’ Index of Desires, LOVE is the featured key word, but there are plenty of other starting points.
