'At the Lido', original artwork in pencil, watercolour and collage. "During my studio residency at Portsmouth Grammar School I became fascinated by the vessel as an object and symbol. Flattened and simplified the boat began to take the shape of a bowl. My mind wandered back to the days of our colonising empire and the links between the 'boat' and 'filling our bowls'."
