Jakucyu's Rooster

'Jakucyu's Rooster', is an aquatint print on paper, in an edition of 85.

"Jakuchyu is a master painter in 18th century Japan. I just wonder if his spirit lives right now." Emiko Aida's works are the visual equivalent of the Haiku, the Japanese 17 syllable verse. She invites the viewer to use their imagination and engage with her imagery: dew, raindrops, rainstorms and urban lives.
