'Sideways' is painted in oil, gold leaf and resin on natural canvas. Being a woman, the subject of body image and beauty ideals has also become central to Fontaine Wolf's work as our culture is bombarded with ideas of female perfection. Her style combines the opposing influences which the inner city offers, exploring the contrast of the soft human body and the hard urban surrounding through shape and texture.
