'From Frank Stella: Paintings (Cover)', drawing in indian ink and acrylic paint on gesso primed board - the priming has been done in different layers to allow a variety of blacks and greys in the final painting. 

This is from a series of paintings that are based upon photocopies from books on artists who I consider to have influenced me, but who's work I have rarely been able to see other than through its reproduction in books. 

This drawing is based upon a photocopy of the cover of the book Frank Stella: Paintings.
