"These paintings began following a visit to Venice and Burano. I wanted to try something different from the usual Venice scenes and was attracted by the way the buildings and boats were reflected in the canals. I then moved my subject matter nearer to home and was delighted to find inspiring images from the various harbours dotted along the north east coast."
