Based on nature’s forces and dynamism, the work is largely concerned with nature’s affinity with reclaiming what belongs to it. It focuses on the ‘slow burn’ that occurs in all living things and their surroundings. Through the materials and processes, the paintings seek to explore both nature’s recurring patterns and random mutations. It alludes to how lasting and beneficial change comes about by slow and small degrees, a principle that seems to be congenial to life in general.
