New Blood Art Statement

Rest your eyes on the work of Jerwood Drawing Prize 2013 artist Sue Williams A’Court. Artist Statement

My recent work derives from an exploration of abstract forms in space to express a sense of intimacy. Organic forms and natural texures are a source of inspiration. I'm interested in the idea of beauty having a curative effect. My intention is to invite the eye to dwell with pleasure on the harmonious combination of form, colour and texture: unrestricted by exact representation and language, encouraging contemplation in a soothing place of unlimited possibilities.
