Marc-Aaron is in essence a process painter, making his paintings by pouring liquid paint onto contrasting coloured grounds. He tilts and turns the stretched canvas', using gravity to guide or control the drips - his highly physical process borders on performance with the last completed piece forming the inspiration for the next.
These works shimmer with vibrancy, layers of paint are simultaneously veiled and revealed - interchanging at speed to reflect the life force and energy of his practice. References to abstract expressionism, optical art and of course process painting can be found - though this is an artist with a visual language all of his own.
