Artist Statement
“My working practice is predominantly focused on producing semi-realistic drawings of human figures, isolated onto a page and intentionally placed under full and intense speculation from the viewer.I try to establish an emotional reaction in the viewer in order for them to empathise with the subject and interpret from the character what they will.
I tend mostly to work from photographs, as it enables me to take the figure from it's surrounding context and to place it in a state of, often sole, communication with the viewer.”
