New Blood Art Statement
A very fine draughtsman, Fox explores the machinations of perception; her work is varied but coheres, and is philosophical in nature. Fox is a sophisticated artist, showing a healthy fear of contingency, while focusing on objects and the delimited.
Fox received a Masters in Drawing from the University of the Arts London in 2009, where she was awarded the Evelyn Williams Trust Bursary. In 2008 she undertook an artist residency at Kunstenaarslogies in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. Her work has been published in the poetry anthologies Stop Sharpening Your Knives (3) and (4), in Surface magazine curated by the YH485 Press, and in Art World Magazine Issue 1.

Artist Statement
My drawings explore the way in which the visual world is perceived, in other words how the mind interprets light and space through its own psychology. Some studies are presented in strong focused lighting while other abstract structures ask the eye to wander across the picture plane.My work is an attempt to decipher the instantaneous, impermanent nature of living, inspired by the physical world, conceptual writing, and the act of looking itself.
