James has exhibited exhibited extensively on an international level. Here in the UK, his works were chosen for artist Stuart Semple’s first curatorial project “Mash Ups”. A 6ft x 4ft foot canvas by American multimedia artist Nathan James is now worth $25,000 compared to just $500 when he graduated eight years ago. The prints on show here are likely to prove a canny investment. His works have been featured in diverse array of print publications, including the Telegraph, I-D Magazine and Arena Magazine.

These combinations of techniques and styles collide as cartoon and plastic clash with figurative flesh and bone elements.
With these paintings I explore the notion that mass media materialism can indeed fulfill some of their promises of leisure and enjoyment but at the cost of forfeiting some of the subjects’ humanity.
